 王下10:1 亚哈有七十个儿子在撒玛利亚。耶户写信、送到撒玛利亚、通知耶斯列的首领、就是长老、和教养亚哈众子的人、说、
 Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, the elders, and to the guardians of the children of Ahab, saying,
 王下10:2 你们那里、既有你们主人的众子、和车马、器械、坚固城、
 "Now, when this letter comes to you, since your master's sons are with you, as well as the chariots and horses and a fortified city and the weapons,
 王下10:3 接了这信、就可以在你们主人的众子中、选择一个贤能合宜的、使他坐他父亲的位、你们也可以为你们主人的家争战。
 select the best and fittest of your master's sons, and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house."
 王下10:4 他们却甚惧怕、彼此说、二王在他面前尚且站立不住、我们怎能站得住呢。
 But they feared greatly and said, "Behold, the two kings did not stand before him; how then can we stand?"
 王下10:5 家宰、邑宰、和长老、并教养众子的人、打发人去见耶户、说、我们是你的仆人．凡你所吩咐我们的、都必遵行．我们不立谁作王．你看怎样好、就怎样行。
 And the one who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders, and the guardians of the children, sent word to Jehu, saying, "We are your servants, all that you say to us we will do, we will not make any man king; do what is good in your sight."
 王下10:6 耶户又给他们写信说、你们若归顺我、听从我的话、明日这时候、要将你们主人众子的首级、带到耶斯列来见我。那时王的儿子七十人、都住在教养他们那城中的尊贵人家里。
 Then he wrote a letter to them a second time saying, "If you are on my side, and you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men, your master's sons, and come to me at Jezreel tomorrow about this time." Now the king's sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who were rearing them.
 王下10:7 信一到、他们就把王的七十个儿子杀了、将首级装在筐里、送到耶斯列耶户那里。
 When the letter came to them, they took the king's sons and slaughtered them, seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him at Jezreel.
 王下10:8 有使者来告诉耶户说、他们将王众子的首级送来了。耶户说、将首级在城门口堆作两堆、搁到明日。
 When the messenger came and told him, saying, "They have brought the heads of the king's sons," he said, "Put them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until morning."
 王下10:9 次日早晨、耶户出来、站著对众民说、你们都是公义的．我背叛我主人、将他杀了．这些人却是谁杀的呢。
 Now in the morning he went out and stood and said to all the people, "You are innocent; behold, I conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?
 王下10:10由此可知、耶和华指著亚哈家所说的话、一句没有落空．因为耶和华藉他仆人以利亚所说的话、都成就了。
 "Know then that there shall fall to the earth nothing of the word of the Lord, which the Lord spoke concerning the house of Ahab, for the Lord has done what He spoke through His servant Elijah."
 王下10:11凡亚哈家在耶斯列所剩下的人、和他的大臣、密友、祭司、耶户尽都杀了、没有留下一个。
 So Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men and his acquaintances and his priests, until he left him without a survivor.
 王下10:12耶户起身、往撒玛利亚去．在路上、牧人剪羊毛之处、
 Then he arose and departed and went to Samaria. On the way while he was at Beth-eked of the shepherds,
 王下10:13遇见犹大王、亚哈谢的弟兄、问他们说、你们是谁．回答说、我们是亚哈谢的弟兄．现在下去、要问王、和太后的众子安。
 Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and said, "Who are you?" And they answered, "We are the relatives of Ahaziah; and we have come down to greet the sons of the king and the sons of the queen mother."
 王下10:14耶户吩咐说、活捉他们。跟从的人就活捉了他们、将他们杀在剪羊毛之处的坑边．共四十二人、没有留下一个。
 He said, "Take them alive." So they took them alive and killed them at the pit of Beth-eked, forty-two men; and he left none of them.
 王下10:15耶户从那里前行、恰遇利甲的儿子约拿达、来迎接他．耶户问他安、对他说、你诚心待我、像我诚心待你麽．约拿达回答说、是。耶户说、若是这样、你向我伸手．他就伸手．耶户拉他上车。
 Now when he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him, "Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?" And Jehonadab answered, " It is." Jehu said, "If it is, give me your hand." And he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot.
 王下10:16耶户说、你和我同去、看我为耶和华怎样热心。於是请他坐在车上。
 He said, "Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord." So he made him ride in his chariot.
 王下10:17到了撒玛利亚、就把撒玛利亚亚哈家剩下的人都杀了、直到灭尽、正如耶和华对以利亚所说的。
 When he came to Samaria, he killed all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke to Elijah.
 王下10:18耶户招聚众民、对他们说、亚哈事奉巴力还冷淡．耶户却更热心。
 Then Jehu gathered all the people and said to them, "Ahab served Baal a little; Jehu will serve him much.
 王下10:19现在我要给巴力献大祭．应当叫巴力的众先知、和一切拜巴力的人、并巴力的众祭司、都到我这里来、不可缺少一个．凡不来的必不得活。耶户这样行、是用诡计、要杀尽拜巴力的人。
 "Now, summon all the prophets of Baal, all his worshipers and all his priests; let no one be missing, for I have a great sacrifice for Baal; whoever is missing shall not live." But Jehu did it in cunning, so that he might destroy the worshipers of Baal.
 王下10:20耶户说、要为巴力宣告严肃会．於是宣告了。
 And Jehu said, "Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal." And they proclaimed it.
 王下10:21耶户差人走遍以色列地．凡拜巴力的人都来齐了、没有一个不来的．他们进了巴力庙．巴力庙中、从前边直到後边、都满了人。
 Then Jehu sent throughout Israel and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left who did not come. And when they went into the house of Baal, the house of Baal was filled from one end to the other.
 王下10:22耶户吩咐掌管礼服的人说、拿出礼服来、给一切拜巴力的人穿。他就拿出礼服来给了他们。
 He said to the one who was in charge of the wardrobe, "Bring out garments for all the worshipers of Baal." So he brought out garments for them.
 王下10:23耶户和利甲的儿子约拿达、进了巴力庙、对拜巴力的人说、你们察看察看、在你们这里不可有耶和华的仆人、只可容留拜巴力的人。
 Jehu went into the house of Baal with Jehonadab the son of Rechab; and he said to the worshipers of Baal, "Search and see that there is here with you none of the servants of the Lord, but only the worshipers of Baal."
 王下10:24耶户和约拿达进去、献平安祭和燔祭。耶户先安排八十人在庙外、吩咐说、我将这些人交在你们手中、若有一人脱逃、谁放的、必叫他偿命。
 Then they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had stationed for himself eighty men outside, and he had said, "The one who permits any of the men whom I bring into your hands to escape shall give up his life in exchange."
 王下10:25耶户献完了燔祭、就出来吩咐护卫兵、和众军长、说、你们进去杀他们．不容一人出来。护卫兵和军长就用刀杀他们、将尸首抛出去、便到巴力庙的城去了。
 Then it came about, as soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the royal officers, "Go in, kill them; let none come out." And they killed them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the royal officers threw them out, and went to the inner room of the house of Baal.
 王下10:26将巴力庙中的柱像、都拿出来烧了．
 They brought out the sacred pillars of the house of Baal and burned them.
 王下10:27毁坏了巴力柱像、拆毁了巴力庙、作为厕所、直到今日。
 They also broke down the sacred pillar of Baal and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine to this day.
 王下10:28这样、耶户在以色列中灭了巴力。
 Thus Jehu eradicated Baal out of Israel.
 王下10:29只是耶户不离开尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪、就是拜伯特利和但的金牛犊。
 However, as for the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin, from these Jehu did not depart, even the golden calves that were at Bethel and that were at Dan.
 王下10:30耶和华对耶户说、因你办好我眼中看为正的事、照我的心意待亚哈家、你的子孙必接续你坐以色列的国位、直到四代。
 The Lord said to Jehu, "Because you have done well in executing what is right in My eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in My heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel."
 王下10:31只是耶户不尽心遵守耶和华以色列　神的律法、不离开耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪。
 But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel sin.
 王下10:32在那些日子、耶和华才割裂以色列国、使哈薛攻击以色列的境界。
 In those days the Lord began to cut off portions from Israel; and Hazael defeated them throughout the territory of Israel:
 王下10:33乃是约但河东、基列全地、从靠近亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥起、就是基列和巴珊的迦得、流便人、玛拿西人之地。
 from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites and the Reubenites and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.
 王下10:34耶户其馀的事、凡他所行的、和他的勇力、都写在以色列诸王记上。
 Now the rest of the acts of Jehu and all that he did and all his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
 王下10:35耶户与他列祖同睡、葬在撒玛利亚．他儿子约哈斯接续他作王。
 And Jehu slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son became king in his place.
 王下10:36耶户在撒玛利亚作以色列王二十八年。
 Now the time which Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.
