 王下2:1 耶和华要用旋风接以利亚升天的时候、以利亚与以利沙从吉甲前往。
 And it came about when the Lord was about to take up Elijah by a whirlwind to heaven, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
 王下2:2 以利亚对以利沙说、耶和华差我往伯特利去、你可以在这里等候．以利沙说、我指著永生的耶和华、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不离开你。於是二人下到伯特利。
 Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here please, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel." But Elisha said, "As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.
 王下2:3 住伯特利的先知门徒出来见以利沙、对他说、耶和华今日要接你的师傅离开你、你知道不知道。他说、我知道．你们不要作声。
 Then the sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?" And he said, "Yes, I know; be still."
 王下2:4 以利亚对以利沙说、耶和华差遣我往耶利哥去、你可以在这里等候．以利沙说、我指著永生的耶和华、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不离开你。於是二人到了耶利哥。
 Elijah said to him, "Elisha, please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho." But he said, "As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So they came to Jericho.
 王下2:5 住耶利哥的先知门徒就近以利沙、对他说、耶和华今日要接你的师傅离开你、你知道不知道。他说、我知道．你们不要作声。
 The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho approached Elisha and said to him, "Do you know that the Lord will take away your master from over you today?" And he answered, "Yes, I know; be still."
 王下2:6 以利亚对以利沙说、耶和华差遣我往约但河去、你可以在这里等候．以利沙说、我指著永生的耶和华、又敢在你面前起誓、我必不离开你。於是二人一同前往。
 Then Elijah said to him, "Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan." And he said, "As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.
 王下2:7 有先知门徒去了五十人、远远的站在他们对面．二人在约但河边站住。
 Now fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.
 王下2:8 以利亚将自己的外衣卷起来、用以打水、水就左右分开、二人走乾地而过。
 Elijah took his mantle and folded it together and struck the waters, and they were divided here and there, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.
 王下2:9 过去之後、以利亚对以利沙说、我未曾被接去离开你、你要我为你作甚麽只管求我。以利沙说、愿感动你的灵加倍的感动我。
 When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you." And Elisha said, "Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."
 王下2:10 以利亚说、你所求的难得、虽然如此、我被接去离开你的时候、你若看见我、就必得著．不然、必得不著了。
 He said, "You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.
 王下2:11 他们正走著说话、忽有火车火马、将二人隔开、以利亚就乘旋风升天去了。
 As they were going along and talking, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven.
 王下2:12 以利沙看见、就呼叫说、我父阿、我父阿、以色列的战车马兵阿。以後不再见他了．於是以利沙把自己的衣服撕为两片。
 Elisha saw it and cried out, "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" And he saw Elijah no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
 王下2:13 他拾起以利亚身上掉下来的外衣、回去站在约但河边。
 He also took up the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and returned and stood by the bank of the Jordan.
 王下2:14 他用以利亚身上掉下来的外衣、打水、说、耶和华、以利亚的　神在那里呢。打水之後、水也左右分开、以利沙就过来了。
 He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him and struck the waters and said, "Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the waters, they were divided here and there; and Elisha crossed over.
 王下2:15 住耶利哥的先知门徒从对面看见他、就说、感动以利亚的灵感动以利沙了。他们就来迎接他、在他面前俯伏於地、
 Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said, "The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha." And they came to meet him and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
 王下2:16 对他说、仆人们这里有五十个壮士．求你容他们去寻找你师傅、或者耶和华的灵将他提起来、投在某山某谷。以利沙说、你们不必打发人去。
 They said to him, "Behold now, there are with your servants fifty strong men, please let them go and search for your master; perhaps the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up and cast him on some mountain or into some valley." And he said, "You shall not send."
 王下2:17 他们再三催促他、他难以推辞、就说、你们打发人去罢。他们便打发五十人去、寻找了三天、也没有找著。
 But when they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, "Send." They sent therefore fifty men; and they searched three days but did not find him.
 王下2:18 以利沙仍然在耶利哥、等候他们回到他那里．他对他们说、我岂没有告诉你们、不必去麽。
 They returned to him while he was staying at Jericho; and he said to them, "Did I not say to you, 'Do not go'?"
 王下2:19 耶利哥城的人对以利沙说、这城的地势美好、我主看见了．只是水恶劣、土产不熟而落。
 Then the men of the city said to Elisha, "Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land is unfruitful."
 王下2:20 以利沙说、你们拿一个新瓶来装盐给我、他们就拿来给他。
 He said, "Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it." So they brought it to him.
 王下2:21 他出到水源、将盐倒在水中、说、耶和华如此说、我治好了这水、从此必不再使人死、也不再使地土不生产。
 He went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, "Thus says the Lord, 'I have purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.'"
 王下2:22 於是那水治好了、直到今日、正如以利沙所说的。
 So the waters have been purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.
 王下2:23 以利沙从那里上伯特利去．正上去的时候、有些童子从城里出来、戏笑他、说、秃头的上去罢、秃头的上去罢。
 Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!"
 王下2:24 他回头看见、就奉耶和华的名咒诅他们。於是有两个母熊从林中出来、撕裂他们中间四十二个童子。
 When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number.
 王下2:25 以利沙从伯特利上迦密山、又从迦密山回到撒玛利亚。
 He went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
