 代下17:1 亚撒的儿子约沙法接续他作王、奋勇自强、防备以色列人．
 Jehoshaphat his son then became king in his place, and made his position over Israel firm.
 代下17:2 安置军兵在犹大一切坚固城里、又安置防兵在犹大地、和他父亚撒所得以法莲的城邑中。
 He placed troops in all the fortified cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah and in the cities of Ephraim which Asa his father had captured.
 代下17:3 耶和华与约沙法同在、因为他行他祖大卫初行的道、不寻求巴力、
 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father David's earlier days and did not seek the Baals,
 代下17:4 只寻求他父亲的　神遵行他的诫命、不效法以色列人的行为。
 but sought the God of his father, followed His commandments, and did not act as Israel did.
 代下17:5 所以耶和华坚定他的国、犹大众人给他进贡．约沙法大有尊荣赀财。
 So the Lord established the kingdom in his control, and all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor.
 代下17:6 他高兴遵行耶和华的道．并且从犹大除掉一切邱坛、和木偶。
 He took great pride in the ways of the Lord and again removed the high places and the Asherim from Judah.
 代下17:7 他作王第三年就差遣臣子便亥伊勒、俄巴底、撒迦利雅、拿坦业、米该亚、往犹大各城去教训百姓。
 Then in the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;
 代下17:8 同著他们有利未人、示玛雅、尼探雅、西巴第雅、亚撒黑、示米拉末、约拿单、亚多尼雅、多比雅、驼巴多尼雅．又有祭司以利沙玛、约兰、同著他们。
 and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah and Tobadonijah, the Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, the priests.
 代下17:9 他们带著耶和华的律法书、走遍犹大各城教训百姓。
 They taught in Judah, having the book of the law of the Lord with them; and they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.
 代下17:10耶和华使犹大四围的列国、都甚恐惧、不敢与约沙法争战。
 Now the dread of the Lord was on all the kingdoms of the lands which were around Judah, so that they did not make war against Jehoshaphat.
 代下17:11有些非利士人与约沙法送礼物、纳贡银．亚拉伯人也送他公绵羊七千七百只、公山羊七千七百只。
 Some of the Philistines brought gifts and silver as tribute to Jehoshaphat; the Arabians also brought him flocks, 7, 700 rams and 7, 700 male goats.
 代下17:12约沙法日渐强大．在犹大建造营寨、和积货城。
 So Jehoshaphat grew greater and greater, and he built fortresses and store cities in Judah.
 代下17:13他在犹大城邑中有许多工程．又在耶路撒冷有战士、就是大能的勇士。
 He had large supplies in the cities of Judah, and warriors, valiant men, in Jerusalem.
 代下17:14他们的数目、按著宗族记在下面．犹大族的千夫长押拿为首、率领大能的勇士三十万．
 This was their muster according to their fathers' households: of Judah, commanders of thousands, Adnah was the commander, and with him 300, 000 valiant warriors;
 代下17:15其次是千夫长约哈难、率领大能的勇士二十八万．
 and next to him was Johanan the commander, and with him 280, 000;
 代下17:16其次是细基利的儿子亚玛斯雅．他为耶和华牺牲自己、率领大能的勇士二十万．
 and next to him Amasiah the son of Zichri, who volunteered for the Lord, and with him 200, 000 valiant warriors;
 代下17:17便雅悯族、是大能的勇士以利雅大、率领拿弓箭和盾牌的二十万．
 and of Benjamin, Eliada a valiant warrior, and with him 200, 000 armed with bow and shield;
 代下17:18其次是约萨拔、率领豫备打仗的十八万。
 and next to him Jehozabad, and with him 180, 000 equipped for war.
 代下17:19这都是伺候王的。还有王在犹大全地坚固城所安置的不在其内。
 These are they who served the king, apart from those whom the king put in the fortified cities through all Judah.
