 路1:1 提阿非罗大人哪、有好些人提笔作书、述说在我们中间所成就的事、是照传道的人、从起初亲眼看见、又传给我们的．
 In as much as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,
 路1:2 见上节
 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,
 路1:3 这些事我既从起头都详细考察了、就定意要按著次序写给你、
 it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus;
 路1:4 使你知道所学之道都是确实的。
 so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.
 路1:5 当犹太王希律的时候、亚比雅班里有一个祭司、名叫撒迦利亚．他妻子是亚伦的後人、名叫以利沙伯。
 In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
 路1:6 他们二人、在　神面前都是义人、遵行主的一切诫命礼仪、没有可指摘的。
 They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.
 路1:7 只是没有孩子、因为以利沙伯不生育、两个人又年纪老迈了。
 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.
 路1:8 撒迦利亚按班次、在　神面前供祭司的职分、
 Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division,
 路1:9 照祭司的规矩掣签、得进主殿烧香。
 according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
 路1:10 烧香的时候、众百姓在外面祷告。
 And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering.
 路1:11 有主的使者站在香坛的右边、向他显现。
 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense.
 路1:12 撒迦利亚看见、就惊慌害怕。
 Zacharias was troubled when he saw the angel, and fear gripped him.
 路1:13 天使对他说、撒迦利亚、不要害怕．因为你的祈祷已经被听见了、你的妻子以利沙伯要给你生一个儿子、你要给他起名叫约翰。
 But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John.
 路1:14 你必欢喜快乐．有许多人因他出世、也必喜乐。
 "You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.
 路1:15 他在主面前将要为大、淡酒浓酒都不喝、从母腹里就被圣灵充满了。
 "For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother's womb.
 路1:16 他要使许多以色列人回转、归於主他们的　神。
 "And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God.
 路1:17 他必有以利亚的心志能力、行在主的前面、叫为父的心转向儿女、叫悖逆的人转从义人的智慧．又为主豫备合用的百姓。
 "It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
 路1:18 撒迦利亚对天使说、我凭著甚麽可知道这事呢、我已经老了、我的妻子也年纪老迈了。
 Zacharias said to the angel, "How will I know this for certain For I am an old man and my wife is advanced in years."
 路1:19 天使回答说、我是站在　神面前的加百列、奉差而来、对你说话、将这好信息报给你。
 The angel answered and said to him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.
 路1:20 到了时候、这话必然应验．只因你不信、你必哑吧不能说话、直到这事成就的日子。
 "And behold, you shall be silent and unable to speak until the day when these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time."
 路1:21 百姓等候撒迦利亚、诧异他许久在殿里。
 The people were waiting for Zacharias, and were wondering at his delay in the temple.
 路1:22 及至他出来、不能和他们说话．他们就知道他在殿里见了异象．因为他直向他们打手式、竟成了哑吧。
 But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them; and they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple; and he kept making signs to them, and remained mute.
 路1:23 他供职的日子已满、就回家去了。
 When the days of his priestly service were ended, he went back home.
 路1:24 这些日子以後、他的妻子以利沙伯怀了孕、就隐藏了五个月、
 After these days Elizabeth his wife became pregnant, and she kept herself in seclusion for five months, saying,
 路1:25 说、主在眷顾我的日子、这样看待我、要把我在人间的羞耻除掉。
 "This is the way the Lord has dealt with me in the days when He looked with favor upon me, to take away my disgrace among men."
 路1:26 到了第六个月、天使加百列奉　神的差遣、往加利利的一座城去、这城名叫拿撒勒．
 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth,
 路1:27 到一个童女那里、是已经许配大卫家的一个人、名叫约瑟、童女的名字叫马利亚。
 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
 路1:28 天使进去、对他说、蒙大恩的女子、我问你安、主和你同在了。
 And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."
 路1:29 马利亚因这话就很惊慌、又反复思想这样问安是甚麽意思。
 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.
 路1:30 天使对他说、马利亚、不要怕．你在　神面前已经蒙恩了。
 The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
 路1:31 你要怀孕生子、可以给他起名叫耶稣。
 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
 路1:32 他要为大、称为至高者的儿子．主　神要把他祖大卫的位给他．
 "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
 路1:33 他要作雅各家的王、直到永远．他的国也没有穷尽。
 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end."
 路1:34 马利亚对天使说、我没有出嫁、怎麽有这事呢。
 Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"
 路1:35 天使回答说、圣灵要临到你身上、至高者的能力要荫庇你．因此所要生的圣者、必称为　神的儿子。〔或作所要生的必称为圣称为　神的儿子〕
 The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
 路1:36 况且你的亲戚以利沙伯、在年老的时候、也怀了男胎．就是那素来称为不生育的、现在有孕六个月了。
 "And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.
 路1:37 因为出於　神的话、没有一句不带能力的。
 "For nothing will be impossible with God."
 路1:38 马利亚说、我是主的使女、情愿照你的话成就在我身上。天使就离开他去了。
 And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
 路1:39 那时候马利亚起身、急忙往山地里去、来到犹大的一座城．
 Now at this time Mary arose and went in a hurry to the hill country, to a city of Judah,
 路1:40 进了撒迦利亚的家、问以利沙伯安。
 and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.
 路1:41 以利沙伯一听马利亚问安、所怀的胎就在腹里跳动、以利沙伯且被圣灵充满．
 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
 路1:42 高声喊著说、你在妇女中是有福的、你所怀的胎也是有福的。
 And she cried out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
 路1:43 我主的母到我这里来、这是从那里得的呢．
 "And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me?
 路1:44 因为你问安的声音、一入我耳、我腹里的胎、就欢喜跳动。
 "For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy.
 路1:45 这相信的女子是有福的．因为主对里所说的话、都要应验。
 "And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord."
 路1:46 马利亚说、我心尊主为大、
 And Mary said: "My soul exalts the Lord,
 路1:47 我灵以　神我的救主为乐。
 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
 路1:48 因为他顾念他使女的卑微．从今以後、万代要称我有福。
 "For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.
 路1:49 那有权能的为我成就了大事．他的名为圣。
 "For the Mighty One has done great things for me; And holy is His name.
 路1:50 他怜悯敬畏他的人、直到世世代代。
 " And His mercy is upon generation after generation Toward those who fear Him.
 路1:51 他用膀臂施展大能．那狂傲的人、正心里妄想、就被他赶散了。
 "He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart.
 路1:52 他叫有权柄的失位、叫卑贱的升高．
 "He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.
 路1:53 叫饥饿的得饱美食、叫富足的空手回去。
 " He has filled the hungry with good things; And sent away the rich empty-handed.
 路1:54 他扶助了他的仆人以色列、
 "He has given help to Israel His servant, In remembrance of His mercy,
 路1:55 为要记念亚伯拉罕和他的後裔、施怜悯、直到永远、正如从前对我们列祖所说的话。
 As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and his descendants forever."
 路1:56 马利亚和以利沙伯同住、约有三个月、就回家去了。
 And Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her home.
 路1:57 以利沙伯的产期到了、就生了一个儿子。
 Now the time had come for Elizabeth to give birth, and she gave birth to a son.
 路1:58 邻里亲族、听见主向他大施怜悯、就和他一同欢乐。
 Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had displayed His great mercy toward her; and they were rejoicing with her.
 路1:59 到了第八日、他们来要给孩子行割礼．并要照他父亲的名字、叫他撒迦利亚。
 And it happened that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to call him Zacharias, after his father.
 路1:60 他母亲说、不可．要叫他约翰。
 But his mother answered and said, "No indeed; but he shall be called John."
 路1:61 他们说、你亲族中没有叫这名字的。
 And they said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who is called by that name."
 路1:62 他们就向他父亲打手式、问他要叫这孩子甚麽名字。
 And they made signs to his father, as to what he wanted him called.
 路1:63 他要了一块写字的板、就写上说、他的名字是约翰。他们便都希奇。
 And he asked for a tablet and wrote as follows, "His name is John." And they were all astonished.
 路1:64 撒迦利亚的口立时开了、舌头也舒展了、就说出话来、称颂　神。
 And at once his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he began to speak in praise of God.
 路1:65 周围居住的人都惧怕、这一切的事就传遍了犹太的山地。
 Fear came on all those living around them; and all these matters were being talked about in all the hill country of Judea.
 路1:66 凡听见的人、都将这事放在心里、说、这个孩子、将来怎麽样呢．因为有主与他同在。
 All who heard them kept them in mind, saying, "What then will this child turn out to be?" For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him.
 路1:67 他父亲撒迦利亚、被圣灵充满了、就豫言说、
 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
 路1:68 主以色列的　神、是应当称颂的．因他眷顾他的百姓、为他们施行救赎．
 "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,
 路1:69 在他仆人大卫家中、为我们兴起了拯救的角、
 And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of David His servant
 路1:70 （正如主藉著从创世以来、圣先知的口所说的话。）
 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old
 路1:71 拯救我们脱离仇敌、和一切恨我们之人的手．
 Salvation from our enemies, And from the hand of all who hate us;
 路1:72 向我们列祖施怜悯、记念他的圣约．
 To show mercy toward our fathers, And to remember His holy covenant,
 路1:73 就是他对我们祖宗亚伯拉罕所起的誓、
 The oath which He swore to Abraham our father,
 路1:74 叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来、
 To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear,
 路1:75 就可以终身在他面前、坦然无惧的用圣洁公义事奉他。
 In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.
 路1:76 孩子阿、你要称为至高者的先知．因为你要行在主的前面、豫备他的道路．
 "And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; For you will go on before the Lord to prepare His ways;
 路1:77 叫他的百姓因罪得赦、就知道救恩．
 To give to His people the knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins,
 路1:78 因我们　神怜悯的心肠、叫清晨的日光从高天临到我们、
 Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,
 路1:79 要照亮坐在黑暗中死荫里的人．把我们的脚引到平安的路上。
 To shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace."
 路1:80 那孩子渐渐长大、心灵强健、住在旷野、直到他显明在以色列人面前的日子。
 And the child continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
