 提前2:1 我劝你第一要为万人恳求、祷告、代求、祝谢．
 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
 提前2:2 为君王和一切在位的也该如此．使我们可以敬虔端正、平安无事的度日。
 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
 提前2:3 这是好的、在　神我们救主面前可蒙悦纳。
 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
 提前2:4 他愿意万人得救、明白真道．
 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
 提前2:5 因为只有一位　神、在　神和人中间、只有一位中保、乃是降世为人的基督耶稣。
 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
 提前2:6 他舍自己作万人的赎价．到了时候、这事必证明出来。
 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
 提前2:7 我为此奉派、作传道的、作使徒、作外邦人的师傅、教导他们相信、学习真道。我说的是真话、并不是谎言。
 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
 提前2:8 我愿男人无忿怒、无争论、〔争论或作疑惑〕举起圣洁的手、随处祷告。
 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.
 提前2:9 又愿女人廉耻、自守、以正派衣裳为妆饰、不以编发、黄金、珍珠、和贵价的衣裳为妆饰．
 Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,
 提前2:10 只要有善行．这才与自称是敬　神的女人相宜。
 but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.
 提前2:11 女人要沉静学道、一味的顺服。
 A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.
 提前2:12 我不许女人讲道、也不许他辖管男人、只要沉静。
 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.
 提前2:13 因为先造的是亚当、後造的是夏娃。
 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve.
 提前2:14 且不是亚当被引诱、乃是女人被引诱、陷在罪里。
 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
 提前2:15 然而女人若常存信心爱心、又圣洁自守、就必在生产上得救。
 But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.
