 申2:1 此後、我们转回、从红海的路往旷野去、是照耶和华所吩咐我的．我们在西珥山绕行了许多日子。
 "Then we turned and set out for the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me, and circled Mount Seir for many days.
 申2:2 耶和华对我说、
 "And the Lord spoke to me, saying,
 申2:3 你们绕行这山的日子彀了、要转向北去。
 'You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north,
 申2:4 你吩咐百姓说、你们弟兄以扫的子孙、住在西珥、你们要经过他们的境界．他们必惧怕你们、所以你们要分外谨慎。
 and command the people, saying, "You will pass through the territory of your brothers the sons of Esau who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So be very careful;
 申2:5 不可与他们争战、他们的地、连脚掌可踏之处、我都不给你们、因我已将西珥山赐给以扫为业。
 do not provoke them, for I will not give you any of their land, even as little as a footstep because I have given Mount Seir to Esau as a possession.
 申2:6 你们要用钱向他们买粮吃、也要用钱向他们买水喝。
 "You shall buy food from them with money so that you may eat, and you shall also purchase water from them with money so that you may drink.
 申2:7 因为耶和华你的　神、在你手里所办的一切事上、已赐福与你．你走这大旷野他都知道了．这四十年、耶和华你的　神常与你同在、故此你一无所缺。
 "For the Lord your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wanderings through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have not lacked a thing."'
 申2:8 於是我们离了我们弟兄以扫子孙所住的西珥、从亚拉巴的路、经过以拉他、以旬迦别、转向摩押旷野的路去。
 "So we passed beyond our brothers the sons of Esau, who live in Seir, away from the Arabah road, away from Elath and from Ezion-geber. And we turned and passed through by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
 申2:9 耶和华吩咐我说、不可扰害摩押人、也不可与他们争战．他们的地我不赐给你为业、因我已将亚珥赐给罗得的子孙为业。
 "Then the Lord said to me, 'Do not harass Moab, nor provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land as a possession, because I have given Ar to the sons of Lot as a possession.
 申2:10 （先前、有以米人住在那里、民数众多、身体高大、像亚衲人一样。
 (The Emim lived there formerly, a people as great, numerous, and tall as the Anakim.
 申2:11 这以米人像亚衲人、也算为利乏音人、摩押人称他们为以米人。
 Like the Anakim, they are also regarded as Rephaim, but the Moabites call them Emim.
 申2:12 先前、何利人也住在西珥、但以扫的子孙将他们除灭、得了他们的地、接著居住、就如以色列在耶和华赐给他为业之地所行的一样。）
 The Horites formerly lived in Seir, but the sons of Esau dispossessed them and destroyed them from before them and settled in their place, just as Israel did to the land of their possession which the Lord gave to them.)
 申2:13 现在起来过撒烈溪．於是我们过了撒烈溪。
 'Now arise and cross over the brook Zered yourselves.' So we crossed over the brook Zered.
 申2:14 自从离开加低斯巴尼亚、到过了撒烈溪的时候、共有三十八年、等那世代的兵丁、都从营中灭尽、正如耶和华向他们所起的誓。
 "Now the time that it took for us to come from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the brook Zered was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war perished from within the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.
 申2:15 耶和华的手也攻击他们、将他们从营中除灭、直到灭尽。
 "Moreover the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from within the camp until they all perished.
 申2:16 兵丁从民中都灭尽死亡以後、
 "So it came about when all the men of war had finally perished from among the people,
 申2:17 耶和华吩咐我说、
 that the Lord spoke to me, saying,
 申2:18 你今天要从摩押的境界亚珥经过、
 'Today you shall cross over Ar, the border of Moab.
 申2:19 走近亚扪人之地、不可扰害他们、也不可与他们争战、亚扪人的地我不赐给你们为业、因我已将那地赐给罗得的子孙为业。
 'When you come opposite the sons of Ammon, do not harass them nor provoke them, for I will not give you any of the land of the sons of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to the sons of Lot as a possession.'
 申2:20 （那地也算为利乏音人之地、先前、利乏音人住在那里、亚扪人称他们为散送冥。
 (It is also regarded as the land of the Rephaim, for Rephaim formerly lived in it, but the Ammonites call them Zamzummin,
 申2:21 那民众多身体高大、像亚衲人一样、但耶和华从亚扪人面前除灭他们、亚扪人就得了他们的地、接著居住．
 a people as great, numerous, and tall as the Anakim, but the Lord destroyed them before them. And they dispossessed them and settled in their place,
 申2:22 正如耶和华从前为住西珥的以扫子孙、将何利人从他们面前除灭．他们得了何利人的地、接著居住一样、直到今日。
 just as He did for the sons of Esau, who live in Seir, when He destroyed the Horites from before them; they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day.
 申2:23 从迦斐托出来的迦斐托人、将先前住在乡村直到迦萨的亚卫人除灭、接著居住。）
 And the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorim who came from Caphtor, destroyed them and lived in their place.)
 申2:24 你们起来前往、过亚嫩谷、我已将亚摩利人希实本王西宏、和他的地、交在你手中、你要与他争战得他的地为业。
 'Arise, set out, and pass through the valley of Arnon. Look! I have given Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land into your hand; begin to take possession and contend with him in battle.
 申2:25 从今日起我要使天下万民、听见你的名声都惊恐、惧怕、且因你发颤伤恸。
 'This day I will begin to put the dread and fear of you upon the peoples everywhere under the heavens, who, when they hear the report of you, will tremble and be in anguish because of you.'
 申2:26 我从基底莫的旷野、差遣使者去见希实本王西宏、用和睦的话说、
 "So I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
 申2:27 求你容我从你的地经过、只走大道、不偏左右。
 'Let me pass through your land, I will travel only on the highway; I will not turn aside to the right or to the left.
 申2:28 你可以卖粮给我吃、也可以卖水给我喝、只要容我步行过去．
 'You will sell me food for money so that I may eat, and give me water for money so that I may drink, only let me pass through on foot,
 申2:29 就如住西珥的以扫子孙、和住亚珥的摩押人待我一样、等我过了约但河、好进入耶和华我们　神所赐给我们的地。
 just as the sons of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for me, until I cross over the Jordan into the land which the Lord our God is giving to us.'
 申2:30 但希实本王西宏、不容我们从他那里经过、因为耶和华你的　神使他心中刚硬、性情顽梗、为要将他交在你手中、像今日一样。
 "But Sihon king of Heshbon was not willing for us to pass through his land; for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, in order to deliver him into your hand, as he is today.
 申2:31 耶和华对我说、从此起首、我要将西宏和他的地、交给你、你要得他的地为业。
 "The Lord said to me, 'See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his land over to you. Begin to occupy, that you may possess his land.'
 申2:32 那时西宏和他的众民、出来攻击我们、在雅杂与我们交战。
 "Then Sihon with all his people came out to meet us in battle at Jahaz.
 申2:33 耶和华我们的　神、将他交给我们、我们就把他和他的儿子、并他的众民都击杀了。
 "The Lord our God delivered him over to us, and we defeated him with his sons and all his people.
 申2:34 我们夺了他的一切城邑、将有人烟的各城、连女人带孩子、尽都毁灭、没有留下一个。
 "So we captured all his cities at that time and utterly destroyed the men, women and children of every city. We left no survivor.
 申2:35 惟有牲畜、和所夺的各城、并其中的财物、都取为自己的掠物。
 "We took only the animals as our booty and the spoil of the cities which we had captured.
 申2:36 从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥、和谷中的城、直到基列、耶和华我们的　神都交给我们了、没有一座城高得使我们不能攻取的。
 "From Aroer which is on the edge of the valley of Arnon and from the city which is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was no city that was too high for us; the Lord our God delivered all over to us.
 申2:37 惟有亚扪人之地、凡靠近雅博河的地、并山地的城邑、与耶和华我们　神所禁止我们去的地方、都没有挨近。
 "Only you did not go near to the land of the sons of Ammon, all along the river Jabbok and the cities of the hill country, and wherever the Lord our God had commanded us.
