申31:1 摩西去告诉以色列众人、
So Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.
申31:2 说、我现在一百二十岁了、不能照常出入、耶和华也曾对我说、你必不得过这约但河。
And he said to them, "I am a hundred and twenty years old today; I am no longer able to come and go, and the Lord has said to me, 'You shall not cross this Jordan.'
申31:3 耶和华你们的 神必引导你们过去、将这些国民在你们面前灭绝、你们就得他们的地．约书亚必引导你们过去、正如耶和华所说的。
"It is the Lord your God who will cross ahead of you; He will destroy these nations before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua is the one who will cross ahead of you, just as the Lord has spoken.
申31:4 耶和华必待他们、如同从前待他所灭绝的亚摩利二王、西宏、与噩、以及他们的国一样。
"The Lord will do to them just as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when He destroyed them.
申31:5 耶和华必将他们交给你们、你们要照我所吩咐的一切命令待他们。
"The Lord will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandments which I have commanded you.
申31:6 你们当刚强壮胆、不要害怕、也不要畏惧他们、因为耶和华你的 神和你同去、他必不撇下你、也不丢弃你。
"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you."
申31:7 摩西召了约书亚来、在以色列众人眼前对他说、你当刚强壮胆、因为你要和这百姓一同进入耶和华向他们列祖起誓应许所赐之地、你也要使他们承受那地为业。
Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.
申31:8 耶和华必在你前面行、他必与你同在、必不撇下你、也不丢弃你、不要惧怕、也不要惊惶。
"The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
申31:9 摩西将这律法写出来、交给抬耶和华约柜的祭司利未子孙、和以色列的众长老。
So Moses wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.
申31:10 摩西吩咐他们说、每逢七年的末一年、就在豁免年的定期住棚节的时候、
Then Moses commanded them, saying, "At the end of every seven years, at the time of the year of remission of debts, at the Feast of Booths,
申31:11 以色列众人来到耶和华你 神所选择的地方朝见他、那时你要在以色列众人面前、将这律法念给他们听。
when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place which He will choose, you shall read this law in front of all Israel in their hearing.
申31:12 要招聚他们男、女、孩子、并城里寄居的、使他们听、使他们学习、好敬畏耶和华你们的 神、谨守遵行这律法的一切话。
"Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and the alien who is in your town, so that they may hear and learn and fear the Lord your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law.
申31:13 也使他们未曾晓得这律法的儿女、得以听见、学习敬畏耶和华你们的 神、在你们过约但河要得为业之地、存活的日子、常常这样行。
"Their children, who have not known, will hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live on the land which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess."
申31:14 耶和华对摩西说、你的死期临近了、要召约书亚来、你们二人站在会幕里、我好嘱咐他．於是摩西和约书亚去站在会幕里。
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, the time for you to die is near; call Joshua, and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, that I may commission him." So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.
申31:15 耶和华在会幕里云柱中显现、云柱停在会幕门以上。
The Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood at the doorway of the tent.
申31:16 耶和华又对摩西说、你必和你列祖同睡．这百姓要起来、在他们所要去的地上、在那地的人中、随从外邦神行邪淫、离弃我、违背我与他们所立的约。
The Lord said to Moses, "Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers; and this people will arise and play the harlot with the strange gods of the land, into the midst of which they are going, and will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.
申31:17 那时我的怒气必向他们发作、我也必离弃他们、掩面不顾他们、以致他们被吞灭．并有许多的祸患灾难临到他们、那日他们必说、这些祸患临到我们、岂不是因我们的 神不在我们中间麽。
"Then My anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide My face from them, and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will come upon them; so that they will say in that day, ' Is it not because our God is not among us that these evils have come upon us?'
申31:18 那时、因他们偏向别神所行的一切恶、我必定掩面不顾他们。
"But I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they will do, for they will turn to other gods.
申31:19 现在你要写一篇歌、教导以色列人、传给他们、使这歌见证他们的不是．
"Now therefore, write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the sons of Israel; put it on their lips, so that this song may be a witness for Me against the sons of Israel.
申31:20 因为我将他们领进我向他们列祖起誓应许那流奶与蜜之地、他们在那里吃得饱足、身体肥胖、就必偏向别神事奉他们、藐视我、背弃我的约。
"For when I bring them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and are satisfied and become prosperous, then they will turn to other gods and serve them, and spurn Me and break My covenant.
申31:21 那时、有许多祸患灾难临到他们、这歌必在他们面前作见证、他们後裔的口中必念诵不忘．我未领他们到我所起誓应许之地以先、他们所怀的意念我都知道了。
"Then it shall come about, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify before them as a witness (for it shall not be forgotten from the lips of their descendants); for I know their intent which they are developing today, before I have brought them into the land which I swore."
申31:22 当日摩西就写了一篇歌、教导以色列人。
So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the sons of Israel.
申31:23 耶和华嘱咐嫩的儿子约书亚说、你当刚强壮胆、因为你必领以色列人进我所起誓应许他们的地、我必与你同在。
Then He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, "Be strong and courageous, for you shall bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore to them, and I will be with you."
申31:24 摩西将这律法的话写在书上、及至写完了、
It came about, when Moses finished writing the words of this law in a book until they were complete,
申31:25 就吩咐抬耶和华约柜的利未人说、
that Moses commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying,
申31:26 将这律法书放在耶和华你们 神的约柜旁、可以在那里见证以色列人的不是．
"Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may remain there as a witness against you.
申31:27 因为我知道你们是悖逆的、是硬著颈项的、我今日还活著与你们同在、你们尚且悖逆耶和华、何况我死後呢。
"For I know your rebellion and your stubbornness; behold, while I am still alive with you today, you have been rebellious against the Lord; how much more, then, after my death?
申31:28 你们要将你们支派的众长老和官长都招聚了来、我好将这些话说与他们听、并呼天唤地见证他们的不是。
"Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, that I may speak these words in their hearing and call the heavens and the earth to witness against them.
申31:29 我知道我死後你们必全然败坏、偏离我所吩咐你们的道、行耶和华眼中看为恶的事、以手所作的惹他发怒、日後必有祸患临到你们。
"For I know that after my death you will act corruptly and turn from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days, for you will do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of your hands."
申31:30 摩西将这一篇歌的话、都说与以色列全会众听。
Then Moses spoke in the hearing of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were complete:
