 撒上29:1 非利士人将他们的军旅聚到亚弗．以色列人在耶斯列的泉旁安营。
 Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek, while the Israelites were camping by the spring which is in Jezreel.
 撒上29:2 非利士人的首领、各率军队、或百、或千、挨次前进．大卫和跟随他的人、同著亚吉、跟在後边。
 And the lords of the Philistines were proceeding on by hundreds and by thousands, and David and his men were proceeding on in the rear with Achish.
 撒上29:3 非利士人的首领说、这些希伯来人在这里作甚麽呢。亚吉对他们说、这不是以色列王扫罗的臣子大卫麽．他在我这里有些年日了．自从他投降我、直到今日、我未曾见他有过错。
 Then the commanders of the Philistines said, "What are these Hebrews doing here? And Achish said to the commanders of the Philistines, "Is this not David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him from the day he deserted to me to this day?"
 撒上29:4 非利士人的首领、向亚吉发怒、对他说、你要叫这人回你所安置他的地方、不可叫他同我们出战、恐怕他在阵上反为我们的敌人．他用甚麽与他主人复和呢．岂不是用我们这些人的首级麽。
 But the commanders of the Philistines were angry with him, and the commanders of the Philistines said to him, "Make the man go back, that he may return to his place where you have assigned him, and do not let him go down to battle with us, or in the battle he may become an adversary to us. For with what could this man make himself acceptable to his lord? Would it not be with the heads of these men?
 撒上29:5 从前以色列的妇女跳舞唱和、说、扫罗杀死千千、大卫杀死万万．所说的不是这个大卫麽。
 "Is this not David, of whom they sing in the dances, saying, 'Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands'?"
 撒上29:6 亚吉叫大卫来、对他说、我指著永生的耶和华起誓、你是正直人．你随我在军中出入、我看你甚好．自从你投奔我到如今、我未曾见你有甚麽过失．只是众首领不喜悦你。
 Then Achish called David and said to him, "As the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army are pleasing in my sight; for I have not found evil in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, you are not pleasing in the sight of the lords.
 撒上29:7 现在你可以平平安安的回去、免得非利士人的首领不欢喜你。
 "Now therefore return and go in peace, that you may not displease the lords of the Philistines."
 撒上29:8 大卫对亚吉说、我作了甚麽呢．自从仆人到你面前、直到今日、你查出我有甚麽过错、使我不去攻击主我王的仇敌呢。
 David said to Achish, "But what have I done? And what have you found in your servant from the day when I came before you to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"
 撒上29:9 亚吉说、我知道你在我眼前是好人、如同　神的使者一般．只是非利士人的首领说、这人不可同我们出战。
 But Achish replied to David, "I know that you are pleasing in my sight, like an angel of God; nevertheless the commanders of the Philistines have said, 'He must not go up with us to the battle.'
 撒上29:10故此你和跟随你的人、就是你本主的仆人、要明日早晨起来、等到天亮回去罢。
 "Now then arise early in the morning with the servants of your lord who have come with you, and as soon as you have arisen early in the morning and have light, depart."
 撒上29:11於是大卫和跟随他的人早晨起来、回往非利士地去。非利士人也上耶斯列去了。
 So David arose early, he and his men, to depart in the morning to return to the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
